Inside view of the east end of the research house The Plantium Plus (Rotem) is a computerized environmental control unit. This very complex, but easily operated microprocessor unit with specialized software, controls the entire environment within each end of the research facility thus allowing us to achieve a "fine tuned" performance in every growout. Historical data is collected for the complete growout of the flock. Each of the two Rotem units are connected to a central desktop computer allowing for instant monitoring and adjustments. Added features the SFASU PRC has installed in addition to the Rotems are 4 live bird scales (birds are weigh from day 1 to processing), 2 water pulse meters, static pressure sensors, inside and outside humidity and temperature sensors, Protech Light dimmers, automatic dialer for alarm events, 2 Agri Ventilation curtain machines, and 2 Agri Ventilation vent board actuators.
