Southern Poultry Scientific Forum - Press Release Crystal S. Smith, M.S. and Joey Bray, M.S. recently presented oral presentations at the Southern Poultry Science Scientific Forum in Atlanta, GA. Each participated in the outstanding graduate student oral presentation contest. For their efforts, each brought home top honors in their respected divisions. Crystal presented research on “Nitrogen Mass Balance and Its Effect on Different Ages of Broilers.” Joey presented research on “Antibiotic Growth Promoters versus Non-antibiotic Growth Promoters on Commercial Broilers”. Crystal and Joey are both employed for Stephen F. Austin State University Poultry Science Program as the Poultry Research Supervisor and the Director of Poultry Facilities, respectfully. Also, they are both pursuing their PhD in Poultry Management from Texas A&M University.
