California Pellet Mill The SFASU PRC owns and operates an 1100 CPM (California Pellet Mill) that is utilized to produce crumbles and pelleted feed for ongoing research. The CPM is a "package mill" indicating that all the components necessary to produce crumbles and pellets are included in the system. Our pellet mill has the capacity to produce around 5 tons per hour with a vertical cooler capable of holding 1 ton. All functions are controlled from the main control panel where the operator has access to the hydrostatic feeder drive, steam conditioner, pellet die/rollers, vertical cooler, shaker, crumbler, and discharge elevator.
